Quality Control

This topic actually popped into my mind in the last days.

Every year it is the same. You just cannot order a bow in the first months without taking the risk of missing parts or a really bad condition. In the most times the pro shops will take care of the bows but not if you order from Martin.

Why is it so? Are we missing a quality control? Why does the quality get better to the end of the year and will drop down some weeks after the ATA? How can we solve this problem?

Just some examples this year:

  • Missing screws
  • wrong assembled Nemesis (the cables must cross below the cable slide not above it)
  • wrong assmbled Shadowcats (same as above)
  • so on …

Those things are problems that could be really easily solved if there would be anyone to control the bows before sending them out. So how can this be? i know that Hoyt had major problems with their quality control a few years back – most bows were really out of tune and specs. They solved it. Can Martin, too? I hope so…

But why always those problems? I am really getting tired of it..

ccs package

Do I need to take my bow to a pro shop to have this put on or can I do it myself without a press ?
Thank’s

Slayer frankenbow advice?

I’m thinking of putting together a Slayer with 13" Mag limbs and Fury cams. (I’ve always been partial to the Fury cams.)

I’m looking to end up with 29"/60#. I don’t have complete access to all the older Martin specs, but my best guess would be to use the specs for the Cougar2000, but go up 1 cam size. So, would 4M limbs, a #3 Fury cam and string/cables 56.5"/41" sound about right as a starting point?

Any input accepted, without blame if it’s wrong.

Evaluation of the Hind Sight

I am thinking about trying the hind sight. Any pros and cons?

Make 3500USD+ PER month guaranteed…. with surveys for money!

I tried one of those online survey sites about 4 months ago that
say all you have to do is spend a couple of minutes filling out
some surveys and you will be making hundreds a day….. YEAH RIGHT, I didn’t make anything.

I joined 7 of these stupid websites and I actually tried filling
out a couple of surveys on each site and they took forever then at
the end they wanted me to buy things or I couldn’t complete the
survey.

These are complete scams so be aware!!! I couldn’t believe they
were even allowed to sell such bogus products.

Then about 2 weeks ago I was watching the news and they had some
vice presidents and marketing managers of some major multi million
dollar companies talking about a site that they personally work
with to pay consumers for their opinion, A site that actually just
wants the "average Joe’s" honest opinion on products and services
and is willing to pay big money to get them.

I tried this site out and it is the only one I have ever seen that
actually pays you just to take surveys. I made almost $100 in my
first day just filling out 3 simple surveys.

This is the only legit survey site online, so if you are
interested in making hundreds per day just giving your opinions
then make sure you check this out.

P.S. there is a video on the homepage that will explain everything.
If I were you I would at least check the video out and if you don’t
make at least $300 in your first week they have a 2 month refund
policy so just get your money back!!! This is definitely worth a
look!

Measured temp on E. Branch of Rocky in Strongsville @ 49 degrees on 3/07/10

I got my new toy the other day, a Humminbird wireless fishfinder, so my son and I stopped by the creek off of the metroparks road in Millstream res. in Strongsville. I was somewhat suprised to see that the temp was already reading 49 degrees.

I am scouting some areas looking for hidden holes. I am curious to see if there are any deeper holes that may hold smallies and/or cats throughout the year. Of course trout will be there soon. I think Mike said that they will be starting the trout stocking in the next week or two.

Hoyt 2010 Contender/Elite

Has anyone got one with Spiral X cams?

Your thought?

I am seriously thinking of getting one.

Bowtech D340 or Hoyt maxxis 31

I’m buying a new bow and don’t know which one to get. Im stuck between the Destroyer 340 and the Maxxis 31. I shot them both and like them ALOT. The destroyer was fast, smooth and did have some hand shock. The maxxis was fairly fast, silky smooth, not hand shock at all, but at full draw it kept crepping forward on me, could that have been because the draw length was too long?
Let me know what you all think about these bows.

Thanks, buff62
