Last yr was great even with the Hurricane winds on Sat. This yr we are doing it again. This shoot is all about learning and having fun. For those of you who have shot Lake Erie you know the potential that awaits you. For those who haven’t then prepare to be spoiled. Without a doubt Erie offers the best consistent big fish action and numbers that Ohio has to offer. I am going to reserve a group campsite at East Harbor state park. Cost per person will depend on the total number of people who attend. The cost of the campsite will be split evenly among all participants.
-We will either have a fish fry or a barbecue on Sat. afternoon.
-Fish disposal will be provided.
-You will be able to fish whenever and wherever you want.

Here are the bowfishing regulations:

ARCHERY AND SURFACE SPEARFISHING
• Game fish may be taken by bow and arrow statewide from July 1 through Dec. 31
from sunrise to sunset.
• Game fish may not be taken with surface spears.
• Nongame fish may be taken by archery or surface spear statewide from sunrise to
sunset between Sept. 1 and March 31, and 24 hours a day from April 1 through Aug. 31.
• Artificial lights are allowed.
• Only hand-drawn longbows (including compound bows) are legal.
• A disabled person who has a medical certificate on file with the Commission may
use a crossbow or a bow fitted with a draw-lock type device.
• Arrows may have only one point, which must be barbed, and must be attached by a
line to the bow at the time the arrow is released.
• For surface spearing, only hand spears are legal.
• All spearing devices must be barbed.
• Th e following waters are closed year-round: Two Rivers, Louisville, Fort Kearny, Fremont, Mormon Island and Windmill SRAs, Platte River and Eugene T. Mahoney state parks, and trout streams.
